Sistemática y distribución de Brachistosternus (Leptosternus) weyenberghii Thorell (Scorpiones, Bothriuridae)

Abstract

New data are provided on the distribution and systematics of
Brachistosternus weyenberghii Thorell. Brachistosternus borellii Kraepelin is synonymized with B.
weyenberghii. This species occurs in the northern part of the Monte and in the Prepuna phytogeographic
provinces. It belongs to the subgenus Brachistosternus (Leptosternus) Maury, according to the current
classification of the genus.
