Avifauna de la provincia de San Juan: lista comentada de especies
Abstract
Avifauna of the province of San Juan: commented list. The bird fauna of the province of San Juan, Argentina, is analyzed based on: 1) specimens housed in the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales of Buenos Aires, in the Museo de La Plata, La Plata, in the Fundación Miguel Lillo, Tucumán, in the Instituto Argentino de Investigaciones de las Zonas Aridas, Mendoza, in the Félix de Azara Collection, Buenos Aires, and in the American Museum of Natural History, New York; 2) bibliographical citations with precise localities. A list of 198 species (70 non Passeriformes and 128 Passeriformes) belonging to 41 families is presented. First records with precise localities are provided for 26 species. New localities are cited for the rest of the species.Downloads
