About the Journal
The Revista del Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales is open to the national and international scientific community for the publication of original, unpublished research in the Natural Sciences, in the areas of Botany, Zoology, Paleontology, Ecology, and Geology. The journal publishes articles in both Spanish and English.
With more than 160 years since the release of the first scientific publication in Argentina by the MACN, the journal continues to be published without interruption, making its articles freely available to the entire community.
It is part of the Núcleo Básico de Publicaciones Científicas Argentinas and is therefore included in the electronic library Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). According to the SCImago Journal & Country Rank (SJR), which is based on the contents of the Scopus database, it ranks among the top Argentine scientific journals in the natural sciences.
It provides open access to its articles, which are published free of charge for authors.
