Variabilidad y distribución de cuatro especies sudamericanas de Heterocerus (Coleoptera, Neteroceridae, Neterocerini)
Abstract
The species Heterocerus similis Grouvelle, H. bruchi Grouvelle, H. woodruffi
(Pacheco), and H. santacruzensis Trémouilles are studied. The variability of the color pattern of the elytra is
analized, and the species are redescribed giving ad<litional morphological information. Males with a dorsal process
on the mandible are registered for H. bruchi and H. woodruffi. The geographic distribution is broadened for all
the studied species. H. woodruffi and H. santacruzensis are new records far Argentina.
