Abstract

Review of Cunampaia simplex Rusconi 1946 (Crocodylomorpha, Mesoeucrocodylia; non Aves) from the Lower Tertiary of Mendoza, Argentina. In this paper we review and analyze the systematic position of Cunampaia simplex from the Eocene of the Mendoza Province, Argentina, a controversial taxon which was originally described as a bird. This taxon is here excluded from Aves and referred to Crocodylomorpha.
